Endodontics/Root Canals
A root canal is a treatment utilized to fix and conserve a tooth that is severely decomposed or non-vital. Throughout a root canal treatment, the nerve and pulp are eliminated. The tooth is cleaned up and sealed from within. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will swell up and become contaminated forming abscesses. Severe pain will develop in that area radiating to other parts of your jaw.
